Bacteriologists, bacteriologists of microbiological laboratories, epidemiologists and epidemiological assistants are invited to participate.

Key issues to be discussed at the event:

• Current issues of diphtheria surveillance and prevention measures
• Algorithm of actions of specialists of the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance and Prevention of Infectious Diseases in case of detection of diphtheria
• Tasks of microbiological laboratories at the current stage of laboratory diagnosis of diphtheria. The volume of diphtheria tests in the Kyiv region in 2024
• Collection and delivery of biological material samples for diphtheria testing.
• Laboratory diagnostics of diphtheria in accordance with the requirements of the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 03.08.1999 192 "On measures to improve the bacteriological diagnosis of diphtheria in Ukraine"
• Terms of issuance and interpretation of the results of bacteriological tests for diphtheria
