Invitation to an online masterclass as part of the continuing professional development system

The topic of the master class:
"Personal protective equipment and measures. Use of UVB irradiation in healthcare facilities"

Public health professionals, epidemiologists, infectious disease specialists, as well as healthcare professionals interested in advanced training in infection control are invited to participate.

Key issues to be discussed at the event:

• sources of infection and routes of infection;
• factors influencing the transmission of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs);
• standard and additional security measures;
• functions and rational use of personal protective equipment;
• rules for putting on and taking off PPE;
• principles of operation of UVB lamps, indications for their use and prohibitions;
• types of UVB irradiators and monitoring of their use.

Among the speakers:

• Natalia Rodina is the Director General of the Kyiv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine;
• Valery Mayboroda is Deputy CEO;
• Tamila Ponomarenko is the Head of the Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control Department;
• Danylo Brindak is the Head of the Department of Non-Communicable Disease Surveillance and Prevention.
