No cases or suspected cases of cholera have been registered in the Kyiv region
29 July 2024Between 19 and 25 July, 123 people with acute intestinal infections sought medical care in the region's healthcare facilities, 3 people with severe illness were examined for cholera, and no cholera patients were detected.
Last week, specialists of the State Institution "Kyiv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" collected and tested 51 water samples for the presence of cholera vibrio in accordance with the Environmental Monitoring Plan for 2024, including 4 - drinking water and 47 - surface water in places of public recreation and water intake for centralised water supply. No cholera pathogens were detected.
