No cases or suspected cases of cholera have been registered in the Kyiv region
18 July 2024Between 5 and 12 July, 127 people with acute intestinal infections sought medical care in the region's healthcare facilities, 5 people with severe illness were examined for cholera, and no cholera patients were detected.
Over the past week, specialists of the State Institution "Kyiv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine", according to the Plan for Monitoring of Environmental Objects for 2024, collected and tested 53 water samples for the presence of cholera vibrio, including 2 - drinking water, 46 - surface water in places of public recreation and water intake for centralised water supply, and 5 - domestic wastewater. No cholera pathogens were detected.
