No cases or suspected cases of cholera have been registered in the Kyiv region

Between 31 May and 30 June 2024, 523 people with acute intestinal infections sought medical care in the region's healthcare facilities, 13 people with severe illness were examined for cholera, and no cholera patients were detected.

Last month, specialists of the State Institution "Kyiv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" collected and tested 235 water samples for the presence of cholera vibrio in accordance with the Environmental Monitoring Plan for 2024, including 14 - drinking water, 208 - surface water in places of public recreation and water intake for centralised water supply, and 13 - domestic wastewater. No cholera pathogens were detected.
