No cases or suspected cases of cholera have been registered in the Kyiv region

Between 14 and 20 June, 122 people with acute intestinal infections sought medical care at healthcare facilities in the region; no cholera tests were conducted due to the absence of patients with severe illness.

Last week, specialists of the State Institution "Kyiv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" collected and tested 46 water samples for the presence of cholera vibrio in accordance with the Environmental Monitoring Plan for 2024, including 3 - drinking water, 39 - surface water in places of public recreation and water intake for centralised water supply, and 4 - domestic wastewater. No cholera pathogens were detected.
