No cases or suspected cases of cholera have been registered in the Kyiv region
1 October 2024Between 20 and 26 September, 109 people with acute intestinal infections sought medical care in the region's healthcare facilities; no cholera tests were conducted due to the absence of patients with severe illness.
Last week, specialists of the State Institution "Kyiv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" collected and tested 59 water samples for the presence of cholera vibrio in accordance with the Environmental Monitoring Plan for 2024, including 5 - drinking water, 48 - surface water in places of public recreation and water intake for centralised water supply, and 6 - domestic wastewater. No cholera pathogens were detected.
