No cases or suspected cases of cholera have been registered in the Kyiv region
31 August 2024Between 16 and 22 August, 94 people with acute intestinal infections sought medical care at healthcare facilities in the region, 2 people with severe illness were examined for cholera, and no cholera patients were detected.
Last week, specialists of the State Institution "Kyiv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" collected and tested 68 water samples for the presence of cholera vibrio in accordance with the Environmental Monitoring Plan for 2024, including 7 - drinking water, 55 - surface water in places of public recreation and water intake for centralised water supply, and 6 - domestic wastewater. No cholera pathogens were detected.
