Training "Immunisation in practice"
31 May 2024"On 22.05-24.05.2024, the fifth three-day training of continuous professional development "Immunisation in Practice" was held at the Kyiv CDC of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with the support of the WHO Office in Ukraine, the World Health Organization Ukraine, the International Children's Centre in Ankara, Turkey, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Public Health Centre of Ukraine.
The training was conducted for primary healthcare workers involved in immunisation in Kyiv Oblast. A total of 109 people have been trained since the start of the training.
The speakers during the training were:
- Natalia Golovinska, Head of the Immunoprophylaxis Department
- Anastasia Osypenko - epidemiologist at the Immunoprophylaxis Department
- Zhanna Lynchuk - paediatrician, medical director of the Bucha Primary Healthcare Centre in Bucha Rayon
The participants discussed the following topics:
- cold chain and storage of vaccines;
- safety of immunisation;
- conducting an immunisation session;
- micro-planning;
- search for defaulters (persons who have not completed the vaccination course);
- monitoring and supervision tools;
- partnership with communities."
