"Health Town" visited Rokytne village on 12 December

On 12 December, on the occasion of the World Universal Health Coverage Day, the Health Town visited Rokytne village, Bila Tserkva district, Kyiv region.

The community residents were able to check their health, consult on prevention of infections and get the appropriate vaccinations. You could also get professional advice on mental health, cardiovascular diseases і diabetes mellitus.

Despite the not very favourable weather, several hundred people visited the Health City and received various medical services:

• consultations with a family doctor - 10;
• consultations ophthalmologist - 8;
• measurement blood pressure - 25;
• definition body mass index - 25;
• determination of blood sugar level - 28;
• ECG - 1;
• testing to identify pathogens respiratory infections - 10;
• vaccination against diphtheria and tetanus - 1.

The event was initiated by the Kyiv Oblast Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Rokytne Village Council, Rokytne Primary Health Care Centre and Rokytne Multidisciplinary Hospital.

We remind you that many dangerous diseases can be prevented:

• get vaccinated;
• Observe hand and cough hygiene;
• If you are sick, see a doctor, not exercise self-medication;
• Everyone needs a medical check-up at least once a year - even if you feel well;
• Adhere to a healthy lifestyle (give up smoking і alcohol, Eat right, Be physically active and get enough rest).
