Vaccination
One of the functions of the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention is vaccination.
According to the decree, some functions are transferred from immunoprophylaxis to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), namely: delivery, storage, distribution and compliance with cold chain conditions during the transportation, storage and use of vaccines.
This is a powerful strengthening of the management system in the field of immunisation of the population. Old equipment, such as refrigerators and freezers, has been replaced with modern cold rooms and refrigeration equipment that meet WHO standards. This allows us to ensure a full cycle of vaccination of the population and bring immunisation services closer to every Ukrainian, regardless of their place of residence.
In joint coordination with the health departments in each oblast, the CDC can provide vaccinations to the population on a regular basis at health facilities and vaccination points, as well as conduct outreach sessions in remote towns and villages.
