Radiation, chemical, biological and nuclear threats
Since the beginning of hostilities, the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has formed epidemic, chemical, radiation safety groups and disinfection teams that operate on a daily basis. The Centre's mobile teams operate under martial law and provide round-the-clock monitoring of air and drinking water quality, etc.
The Centre's staff and medical professionals are constantly trained in the public health emergency response system.
In order to inform the public and control the situation, the radiation background is monitored three times a day at control points.
