Laboratory tests

To prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases, and in case of detection of their causative agents, to maximise the localisation of possible foci, the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention conducts ongoing thorough laboratory tests, namely

  • sampling of human biological material for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus by polymerase chain reaction (PCR);
  • microbiological studies of drinking water, surface water, and food products;
  • bacteriological tests for dysbiosis;
  • determining the sensitivity of microbial cultures to antibiotics;
  • parasitological studies of environmental objects and biological material;
  • isolation of GMO genome fragments in food products and food raw materials.
